PADI Divemaster
Dive professionals have more fun!
Divemaster is the first professional PADI level, and certifies you to supervise certified divers, assist instructors, and instruct skin diving and snorkeling. This rating denotes an individual who has exemplary diving skills, role model behavior, and solid rescue skills. The course has three modules:
- Knowledge
- Water skills and stamina
- Practical application

- Lead PADI scuba divers on guided dive tours
- Assist PADI Instructors with classes
- Instruct skin diving and snorkeling
- Conduct PADI discover local diving experiences and the scuba review programs

Prerequisites

To enroll in a PADI Divemaster course, an individual must:
- Be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization
- Be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization
- Be at least eighteen years old
- Submit, to the instructor, medical clearance for diving signed by a physician, attesting to fitness to dive. The medical clearance must be current within the previous twelve months. The physician signing the medical clearance cannot be the applicant.
- Have completed and logged at least twenty dives
