PackingA carry-on bag is no more than 22" x 14" x 9" (subject to airline regulations). Some airlines also specify a weight limit. You are allowed one carry-on bag and a second carry-on that must be able to fit underneath the seat in front of you, such as a purse or tote bag. Be sure to find out what your airline accepts in checked baggage, such as dive knives or sea snips. We recommend you contact your travel agent or airline for current, first-hand information. HealthThe U.S. State Department website provides safety information about most destinations. The Centers for Disease Control website may also provide useful health information. Depending on your destination and travel lifestyle, you may need to be vaccinated prior to departure. Some travel medications need to be started weeks in advance of travel and some must be continued after you return. See your doctor or local travel clinic for current information.
Research your destination and your options so you can make a good decision about water treatment. Your travel agent, doctor, and travel clinic can help you determine what to do to stay healthy on your trip. CultureLearning about the culture and customs of the people who make your dive destination their home may keep you in the good graces of the local people and authorities. Dress and behave in ways that respect their culture and resources. |
